“Bridging the Worlds of Evidence-based Science and the Transpersonal Mysteries with Chuck Hancock, M.Ed. LPC”
In this episode, Carrie speaks with Chuck Hancock about all of his many group experiences and training. As a perpetual student of life, nature, and relationship – Chuck has over a decade of experience participating in and leading men’s groups, experiential groups, therapy groups, wilderness groups, interpersonal process groups, ritual and rites of passage programs, and teaching college psychology courses.
Chuck is passionate about learning and tracking the full spectrum of human experience trained in treating trauma, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and the interpersonal and intrapersonal relationship patterns that get illuminated in group gatherings. In addition to the traditional training and licensure through higher education at Colorado State University, Chuck has trained with School of Lost Borders to lead wilderness Rites of Passage, and has been apprenticing with Native American and African indigenous ceremony leaders for transformative and healing ritual, vision quest, sweat lodge, and other ceremonies.
Bridging the worlds of evidence-based science and the transpersonal mysteries, Chuck also works with MAPS working on clinical research for MDMA assisted psychotherapy for PTSD, is in private therapy practice in Fort Collins, CO with Inner Life Adventures, and provides nature-based coaching, ceremony, and ritual with Reconnecting to Our Nature – in all realms guiding people in mindfulness, somatic, depth work, Jungian psychology, dream work, and other ordinary and non-ordinary states of consciousness.
