In today’s episode, Carrie shares about the third stage of group development: Norming. This is the stage after the so feared storm. During this stage, the members of the group start feeling connected as a whole. It’s a feel-good stage, and sometimes groups tend to fall into a stagnant period. Follow the tips on this episode to gracefully pass this stage, and to avoid going back into the storming phase.
Some tips mentioned in the episode:
- Underline the connection between members, and encourage diferentiation
- Work on helping members to stay in the here and now
- If you start feeling like the group is creating supercifial connections, it may be a good idea to share that with the group to help them move to the next stage
